Beyond the Gallery: An Exclusive Collection Tour
Step beyond the gallery walls and experience the Ukrainian Museum of Canada as few ever have — inside the collections vault. This intimate, one-hour guided tour offers a rare glimpse into North America’s largest collection of Ukrainian textiles and artefacts, preserved in a secure, climate-controlled space not normally open to the public.
Explore embroidered garments, woven tapestries, ritual cloths, and intricate beadwork that reveal the artistry and heritage of generations. Step inside our late-19th-century bank vault to encounter the earthy ceramics of pioneer potter Peter Rupchan — the air cool and faintly perfumed with clay.
You’ll also see William Kurelek’s iconic Ukrainian Pioneer Series up close, along with treasures of jewellery, pysanky, woodcarving, and more — each with a story to tell.
Duration: 1 hour
Price: $150 for up to 5 individuals. Each additional guest $30 (maximum 10).

Exhibition Tours
Make your next team-building event, family gathering, or group outing an inspiring experience at the Ukrainian Museum of Canada. Step into our galleries and explore the stories, artistry, and cultural heritage that shape Ukrainian life in Canada and around the world.
Our exhibition tours offer a personal and engaging way to experience up to three of our current exhibitions — from historic textiles and traditional arts to contemporary works that explore identity, resilience, and creative expression.
Guided by our knowledgeable museum staff, each tour brings meaning to the art and artefacts on display: embroidered garments rich with symbolism, expressive folk art, rare books, intricate beadwork, and powerful visual narratives that connect past and present. You may also encounter favourites such as William Kurelek’s iconic Ukrainian Pioneer Series, alongside newly acquired treasures and rotating special exhibitions.

Duration: 1 hour
Price: $120 for up to 30 individuals. Registered charities and non-profit organizations may be eligible for a reduced rate.

Group Workshops
Looking for a more hands-on experience? Our private workshops invite your group to explore Ukrainian culture through art, craft, and storytelling in a warm, creative setting.
These guided sessions offer an inspiring way to connect with heritage—whether you’re celebrating with friends, hosting a team-building event, or planning a meaningful cultural outing. Choose from pysanka-writing (Ukrainian Easter egg decorating), motanka doll-making, Ukrainian embroidery, Kosiv-style ceramic tile painting, Petrykivka painting, traditional beading, and more. Food and wine enhancements can be added to elevate your gathering.

Booking Information
Please submit requests for immersive experiences and tours at least 48 hours in advance, and workshop requests at least two weeks ahead of your visit. While submitting a request does not guarantee availability, we will do our best to accommodate your group—and can sometimes arrange group experiences on shorter notice.
