Embroidery in Ukrainian culture carries meaning as well as beauty. In this full-day workshop, the Museum’s own Maryna Ostroushko, an experienced embroiderer from Cherkasy, introduces participants to a selection of traditional motifs and the ideas they express, from protection and love to growth and family lineage.

Participants will learn foundational techniques in cross stitch and create a small piece of their own, guided by the symbols that
resonate most.

All materials included. Beginners welcome! Ages 15+

The Museum will provide a lunch of sandwiches and salad for all participants.
