The Ukrainian Museum of Canada is pleased to partner with Ukrainian Women’s Association of Canada (UWAC) branches from Saskatchewan and Manitoba in marking the 100th anniversary of the Ukrainian Women’s Association of Canada.

Founded in 1926 in Saskatoon, the Ukrainian Women’s Association of Canada (UWAC) is a national women’s organization dedicated to preserving Ukrainian culture and sustaining community life across generations. Through its volunteer leadership, UWAC has supported cultural education, established key institutions—including the Ukrainian Museum of Canada—and played a vital role in assisting displaced persons and refugees in the postwar period.

On Saturday afternoon, UWAC members and their guests are invited to the Museum for a special guided tour and reception. This gathering offers an opportunity to connect with the Museum’s exhibitions while celebrating UWAC’s extraordinary legacy as our founding organization.
