Workshop | Vyshyvka and Vynoh

Thursday, May 18, 6:30-9 PM

Extend your celebration of Vyshyvanka Day with a Vyshyvka (Ukrainian embroidery) & Vynoh (wine) workshop!

Learn how to embroider a traditional Polissa cross stitch pattern from start to finish. Polissa is Ukraine’s forest belt and lowland/wetlands, encompassing the area of five oblasts (provinces). Designs from this region traditionally use clean, bold, graphic lines on white or grey linen. Rhombuses, stars, and broken lines are also popular design elements. The workshop will feature an embroidery pattern by @VinokCollective.

Don’t forget to wear your vyshyvanka (Ukrainian embroidered shirt) if you have one, and take part in the international Vyshyvanka Day!

Enjoy the evening with a glass of wine or a mocktail. Your first glass is complimentary, and following drink tickets will be $5 each. Snacks will be served.

Member $75 / Non-members $85 – All materials provided.
