Kosiv Ceramic Tile Workshop
Saturday, October 21, 2023, 1–4 PM

Instructor: Janice Schiman

Spend an afternoon designing your own Ukrainian Kosiv-style ceramic tile. Students will carve into a leather-hard red clay tile that has been slipped with white – combining sgraffito techniques with traditionally coloured underglaze. It is possible to transfer a design drawn at home to the surface of the tile, if participants wish to bring one. Tiles will be 6 x 6″.

Thank you to Saskatoon Clay Works for supporting this project.

Fees: Members  $55 (+tax) / Non-members  $65 (+tax)

All supplies and clay firings are included in the registration fee. You will be able to pick up your finished tile two weeks after the class.
