Welcome to Соняшник (Sonyashnyk/Sunflower) — our unique Ukrainian Summer Camp for children aged 6 to 11, designed to meet the needs of working parents.
The Ukrainian Museum of Canada understands that not everyone works Monday to Friday. This is why our summer camp operates Monday to Sunday, and parents can pick any five days out of seven for their children!
Children attending Соняшник will engage with Ukrainian culture and traditions through art and craft activities, song, dance, and language. They will also explore the outdoors through walks along the river, excursions to nearby playgrounds, and picnics. Our experienced and friendly staff speak Ukrainian and will ensure a safe and nurturing environment, fostering friendships and cultural understanding.
Соняшник is made possible through funding from the Community Initiatives Fund. The cost of the camp for Canadian families is $150 per child for 5 days of camp. We have also reserved subsidized spots for Ukrainian newcomers.
