Introducing the Ukrainian Museum of Canada’s New Website and Brand Refresh
The Ukrainian Museum of Canada is proud to unveil our refreshed brand identity and newly redesigned website—an exciting milestone made possible through support from Prairies Economic Development Canada (PrairiesCan) and a creative partnership with The Hatchery, a Western Canadian design and digital studio.
Over the past several months, our team has collaborated closely with The Hatchery’s designers, developers, and strategists to create a contemporary, intuitive online presence that reflects the museum’s growing national profile. The Hatchery brings a strong track record in digital transformation, branding, and storytelling for cultural and nonprofit organisations, with previous clients including the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, MacKenzie Art Gallery, and Nanaimo Art Gallery.
The new website features cleaner navigation, improved accessibility, and more engaging ways to explore the museum’s exhibitions, programs, and Canada’s largest collection of Ukrainian art and artefacts. Our refreshed brand builds on the museum’s 90-year legacy, introducing a cleaner and more welcoming visual identity. Notably, the new colour palette is drawn directly from objects in our collection—subtle references to the textiles, ceramics, and artworks that define our aesthetic heritage.
This project arrives at a time of tremendous momentum for the museum, with expanded programs, renewed partnerships, and rising visitor numbers. The updated website and brand give us the tools to share our work more broadly, locally, nationally, and internationally.
We extend our sincere thanks to PrairiesCan for supporting this important investment and to The Hatchery for their thoughtful, collaborative approach. We invite you to explore the new website at umcnational.ca and be part of the next chapter in the museum’s evolution.
